Payment Schedule<\/span><\/h2>

Upon signing this agreement, the security deposit is immediately due. The security deposit will be <\/span>applied to the balance due for the trip in the event of no incidents or claims with the vehicle for your <\/span>trip, or held to apply towards the cost of resolution and applicable fees in the even of a claim or <\/span>incident.\n<\/span><\/span>
\n\u2022 For trips less than 1 week, the remaining balance will be charged at the beginning of the trip.\n<\/span>
\n\u2022 For trips longer than 1 week, the remaining balance will be divided amongst the remainder of<\/span>
\nthe trip in 1 week increments and each payment will be due every 7 days from the start of the trip.<\/span><\/p> <\/div> <\/div><\/div> <\/div>

Incidentals<\/span><\/h2>

If you disregard Angera Rentals\u2019 guidelines or violate policies, you may be charged a penalty fee. If you cancel a trip outside of the free cancellation period or fail to show up for a booked trip, Angera Rentals will charge you a cancellation fee of . See a summary of guest fees below and open the links for further details.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 Additional distance fee: Any mileage on the vehicle in excess of the mileage limitation will be<\/span>
\nsubject to an excess mileage surcharge of $.15 per mile.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 Claims processing fee: If you return the vehicle damaged, a claim will be filed, and Angera<\/span>
\nRentals will charge you a claims processing fee. Up to $50 for minor (<$500), $100 for moderate (<$1500), and $150 for <\/span>severe vehicle damage.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 Cleaning violation fee: If you return the car in a condition that could have only resulted from<\/span>
\nirresponsible or abusive behavior, we may charge you a violation fee of $150.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 EV recharginging convenience fee: Electric vehicles are to be returned with at least the lesser<\/span>
\nof the charge level upon delivery or 80%. Failure to do so will result in a $20 convenience fee<\/span>
\nin addition to $10 for every 30% less than the required state of charge.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 Gas refueling convenience fee: Gas vehicles are to be returned with at least as much fuel as<\/span>
\nwhen delivered. Failure to do so will result in a $20 convenience fee in addition to the cost to<\/span>
\nreplace the gas.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 Late cancellation fee: If you cancel your trip 24 hours before until trip start, you will be<\/span>
\ncharged 50% of 1 day at your daily trip rate. After, any cancellation is billable from trip start<\/span>
\nthrough the day of the cancellation.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 No show fee: In additional to any applicable late cancellation fees, no shows without<\/span>
\ncancellation or notification up to 4 hours after the trip start is subject to a $50 no show fee<\/span>
\nand 50% of any associated delivery fee.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 Improper return fee: Angera Rentals may charge you a $100 improper return fee if you fail to<\/span>
\nrespond to requests to return a vehicle, abandon a vehicle, or do not follow vehicle return<\/span>
\ninstructions, in addition to any expenses incurred because of the improper return.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 Late return fee: If you return a vehicle 2 hours or more past the trip\u2019s scheduled end time<\/span>
\nwithout confirmed agreement for extension, a $25 late return fee could be charged, in<\/span>
\naddition to extra days charged at the booking daily rate for every 24-hour period beyond the<\/span>
\ntrip end the car is kept.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 Pet policy violation: If you either transport a pet in a vehicle where pets are not approved, or<\/span>
\nfailure to notify and pay the required pet fee for the trip in approved vehicles, will result in a<\/span>
\n$200 pet policy violation fee.\n<\/span>

\n\u2022 No smoking policy violation: Neither you nor your passengers may smoke in any Angera<\/span>
\nRentals vehicle. Doing so will result in a $250 smoking violation fee.<\/span><\/p> <\/div> <\/div><\/div> <\/div>

Insurance<\/span><\/h2>

Renter must provide to Owner with proof of insurance that would cover damage to the Rental <\/span>Vehicle at the time this Car Rental Agreement is signed, as well as personal injury to the Renter, <\/span>passengers in the Rented Vehicle, and other persons or property. 

If the Rental Vehicle is damaged <\/span>or destroyed while it is in the possession of Renter, Renter agrees to pay any required <\/span>deductible (up to $3000 if their insurance does not cover), and also assign all rights to collect insurance proceeds to Owner. This includes but is not limited to administrative processing fees, repair costs, diminished value in vehicle, loss of rental income, towing & storage, and any fees incurred as a result of processing the damage claim or handling the damaged vehicle.<\/span><\/span><\/p> <\/div> <\/div><\/div> <\/div>

Indemnification<\/span><\/h2>

Renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Owner for any loss, damage, or legal actions against the Owner as a result of Renter\u2019s operation or use of the Rented Vehicle during the term of this Car Rental Agreement. This includes any attorney fees necessarily incurred for these<\/span>
\npurposes. \n<\/span>

Renter will also pay for any parking tickets, tolls, moving violations, or other citations received while in possession of the Rented Vehicle.<\/span><\/p> <\/div> <\/div><\/div> <\/div>

Representations and Warranties<\/span><\/h2>

Owner represents and warrants that to Owner\u2019s knowledge, the Rental Vehicle is in good condition<\/span>
\nand is safe for ordinary operation of the vehicle.\n<\/span>
\nRenter represents and warrants that Renter is legally entitled to operate a motor vehicle under the<\/span>
\nlaws of this jurisdiction and will not operate it in violation of any laws, or in any negligent or illegal<\/span>
\nmanners.\n<\/span>
\nRenter has been given an opportunity to examine the Rental Vehicle in advance of taking possession<\/span>
\nof it, and upon such inspection, is not aware of any damage existing on the vehicle other than that<\/span>
\nnotated by separate Existing Damage document.<\/span><\/p> <\/div> <\/div><\/div> <\/div>

Jurisdiction and Venue<\/span><\/h2>

In the event of any dispute over this agreement, this Car Rental Agreement will be interpreted by<\/span>
\nthe laws of Alameda County \u2013 CA USA, and any lawsuit or arbitration must be brought in the corresponding region of Alameda County \u2013 CA USA. \n<\/span>
